Press Release — Porto, Portugal, 15/12/2025
Coreflux, a Portuguese technology company accelerating data connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT), has successfully closed a EUR 1,2 million investment round co-led by Armilar, through its NOS 5G Fund, and Portugal Gateway. Previous investor CJR Group remains as a key participant in the company.
This round marks a strategic milestone in Coreflux’s mission to bring advanced, interoperable data solutions to Enterprise IoT markets. The funds will primarily support the company’s go-to-market strategy, including international expansion and ecosystem partnerships while further developing its unique managed data connectivity and data processing infrastructure.
Founded to simplify data integration, Coreflux provides an end-to-end ecosystem of IT system connectors, managed brokers and cloud services that enable companies to collect, process, and act on data in real time. Its technology is already being adopted by clients and partners across manufacturing, energy, financial services and logistics sectors seeking to maximize data flows across multiple devices and applications, while reducing infrastructure costs and data processing timelines.
“ This investment reinforces our vision that data should flow as freely and securely as possible,” said Hugo Vaz, Co-founder and CEO of Coreflux. “ The problem today isn’t that you lack data; it’s that your data is trapped in complex, silent silos. We are fixing that. We are building the tools to break down those walls and finally connect the dots, creating a simple, invisible layer where your intelligence can flow freely.”
João Miguel Dias, from Armilar, commented “ Traditionally, the world of physical devices has been largely disconnected from cloud-based, AI-powered systems. Yet, these two domains are deeply interdependent: IoT data fuels AI training, while AI inference directs IoT actions. This is where a communication abstraction layer, combined with the ability to process data in real-time, becomes essential — and where Coreflux truly stands out.”
“Coreflux is building the essential data foundation for the next generation of industrial automation and AI. You cannot have smart factories or intelligent supply chains without the free, secure, and real-time flow of data that Coreflux enables. Their technology acts as the central nervous system for modern industry, and we are confident this investment will accelerate their mission to power the future of industrial data” said Ana Lobo Xavier from Portugal Gateway Fund.
The collaboration with Armilar and Portugal Gateway underlines a shared belief in the transformative potential of data-driven automation and edge-to-cloud interoperability, as industries increasingly move towards intelligent and connected ecosystems.
Coreflux enables industries to move, connect, and act on data in real time. Its data pipeline platform runs seamlessly on the cloud or on-premises, combining a managed MQTT broker and industrial connectors to bridge protocols like Modbus and OPC UA. By linking operational data with modern analytics and Machine Learning workflows, Coreflux democratizes digitalization, making advanced IoT capabilities accessible, scalable, and secure for organizations of any size.
