Duarte involves himself in a very intense way in the day to day multi-tasking, building on a very own sort of energy that boosts the teams he works with. He is above all a "people person".

Duarte is in charge of the HealthTech space within Armilar, and has gradually adopted the role of leading the fundraising efforts of the firm. In any given week, you may find him playing hands-on roles in some of our early-stage investments or traveling around in search of new prospective - domestic or international - investors.

Duarte has a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (USA). He has over 10 year experience in Strategic and Management Consulting in The Boston Consulting Group, working extensively in Spain, France and the UK.He is a Board member/observer of several Armilar portfolio companies, and fluently speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian.
