Duarte has gradually adopted the role of leading the fundraising efforts at Armilar, whilst keeping up as an active member of the HealthTech space within the firm.

He involves himself in an intense way in the day to day multi-tasking, building on a very own sort of energy that boosts the teams he works with. He is above all a "people person".

Duarte has a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (USA). He has over 10 year experience in Strategic and Management Consulting in The Boston Consulting Group, working extensively in Spain, France and the UK. He is a Board member/observer of several Armilar portfolio companies, and fluently speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian.

Duarte joined Armilar in 2010.
