José is a creative and tech-passioned professional, with a strong network within the IT community and academia.

José has a BSc in Computer and Systems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, and a MBA from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

José began his career as a Researcher at INESC, and has since accumulated over 10 years of experience in the banking industry, and 8 years as a marketing and commercial manager during the formative years of Novabase SA, Portugal's largest IT solutions provider.

In January 2024, after near two decades serving as a board member and observer in several Armilar portfolio companies, Jose retired from executive roles in the company.

Currently, he still serves as an Investment Committee member at Armilar. José speaks English, French, and Spanish.

José joined Armilar in 2004.
